Intern

  • Interns work in a hybrid model.  Part of the week, interns work with our community members in person, during free community art classes or the Mobile C.A.N.V.A.S. private lessons.  There are opportunities for facilitating Employee Wellness Workshops, community workshops, curating art shows, assisting in event coordination and planning to create a safe and empowering experience for our community members.
  • Interns are given opportunities to be a part of data collection, development, as well as curating lesson plans.
  • Interns experience extensive on-boarding training and shadowing where they learn to work with a trauma-informed lens while helping people of varying cultures and disabilities within our community.
  • Accepting BSW and MSW interns. Approved site for San Diego State University Interns.
  • No art experience is required, but it helps with foundational context in facilitating the art lesson plans. Training is provided.
